This quote is true in many ways, in life if you choose the right when you are young you will pave a path where when you are older you will be free to roam and explore the world, unless you aren’t obedient, if you aren’t obedient you will most likely fall into a path of dependence financially. If you don’t obey the law you can lose your freedom, temporarily or permanently. Another example is in this New Media class if you don’t obey the rules for example if you use your cell phone in class, you can be stripped from your privileges of using the computer.
