You Will Go Far with CTR

W
hen you choose the right, you open yourself to various opportunities, these are opportunities are extremely valuable, and you should be greatly thankful for them. When you choose the right, you are steering yourself from all the negative energy that might surround you and you are paving your path for freedom and success. There are many ways to choose the right, but the most important should be, get an education, the best investment you can ever make is an investment into your brain, people can strip you from material items, but they will never be able to strip you of your intelligence.

Getting an education will hopefully and most likely open up various opportunities whether it be to more studying option or a good job, a good job will get you far because it will most likely lead you to be economically stable, when you are economically stable you basically have freedom as long as you continue to choose the right. With little sacrifice of time after high school, about 4-8 years, you can save yourself countless hours of back breaking minimum wage paying work. So why break your back for minimum wage when with the right opportunities you can easily earn double, even triple that with just a little bit of hard working and choosing the right. Choosing the right is an important habit you should get used to, it will get you very far in life; make sure you practice the habit.

“You will never regret doing what’s right.”

-Anon

Making the right decision or choosing to do the right action is the greatest thing you can do, it is something you will never regret, to the contrary if you choose the wrong, you will most likely always regret doing so and your mind will be full of guilt, when you choose the right you have a clear conscience and will always feel great about doing so!

Academic Success

Part 2

Laura B.’s Academic Success Story

In high school I was one of the good students who didn’t really have to study to be a good student. The information that I took for notes in class usually sunk in enough for me to be able to get by on the tests by simply reviewing the material just before the class began. It wasn’t that I didn’t try, I had a 4.0 all throughout high school, but I had never really had to put forth much of an effort to get the results that I wanted to see. In college however, that changed. Not only did I start studying and reading the book, but I began to understand that the little tiny facts were just as important as the general concepts. My overall study method: I do the reading that is required for all the classes, and I try to keep up. If I do fall behind, I usually use the reading that I did not get as an additional study aid. I take good notes in class and actually attend every class that I can. Sometimes, with volleyball, its though because we are on the road a lot, but if I do miss class because of volleyball I make sure that I get the notes from another student in the class. Also, for a subject such as chemistry, I do practice problems to help me understand what the material means.

“Light and darkness can’t occupy the same space at the same time. CTR is light-CTW is darkness.”

-Call / Haymore

Actions and people cannot be both righteous people and people who choose the wrong; they either had to be righteous or bad people. If you do something that you believe is slightly the wrong choice, it is not slightly the wrong choice; it is just the wrong choice. If you’re going to do something, make sure it’s for a righteous reason, and make sure it is the right thing to do 100%.

Academic Success

Part 1

My great academic success: In my principles of marketing class, we had to come up with a new product and sell it. My group ended up with a couple supposedly bad student according to our teacher since they were the last ones picked. In the end, they helped out more than needed since I was the team leader I assigned them certain pieces of the project that became solely their responsibility. Delegating work always helps since it allows a group member individual work without separating the group.

English, math, foreign language tips: Math basically just takes practice. I always tell students to take a blank piece of paper and write everything you know about what you’ve learned or what you’re studying for in the class. If you don’t remember everything or start drawing blanks, then you need to study more and review your notes. Note cards work really well for foreign language. Here are my final words of wisdom for students who want to get better grades in college: go to class, make friends with people in class just in case you’re absent, and remember that you should want to learn.

“There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience”

-French Proverb

What I believe this proverb represents is, having a clear conscience is extremely comforting, far more comforting than the softest pillow in the world, in fact it’s not even comparable. Knowing that you have done nothing wrong and have nothing you need to be ashamed of or that will bug your conscience is a great thing.

I Will Persist Until I Succeed

Part 2

How I’ve overcome an initial bad grade: When receiving a bad grade, I just try to do better on the second exam and study harder. It’s hard when you have your first test in a class and have no idea what to expect. The second one is usually easier since you know what to expect from your teachers.

My strategies for written assignments; Start early and make sure that you have it proofread. Also, with written assignments, having a timeline planned out can help like by setting a certain number of pages done by a certain day before the paper is due. How I succeed in team projects: COMMUNICATION! Despite your group synergy, communication is crucial. I remember I ran out of cell phone minutes constantly when working on a group project for my marketing research class. It’s really important that everyone is on the same page and getting the same emails. The worst is when two people are working on the same portion of the project and don’t even realize it.
